Event Submission

We will need all pertinent information about event or resource, such as date, contact/registration information, and cost. Any visual advertisements or graphic designs that have been created for the event will also aid us in composing an announcement that will catch people's attention.

Report and Resources for Racial Reconciliation

At the 7 November 2017 meeting of the Presbtyery of the Mississipi Valley, the Discipleship Ministries Committee reported to the presbytery concerning ways and means for our congregations to pursue racial reconciliation and joint ministry with African Americans and other minorities in our communities. The committee produced the following two items:

  1. "The Gospel of Grace and Race" is an mp3 CD of sermons on topics related to the gospel, race, and ecclesiology.
    CDs can be requested through the the committee chairman or the stated clerk. Attached below is a list of these sermons with hyperlinks to the original online recordings of these sermons.

  2. The "Summary of Ways and Means" is a document that includes the committee's practical recommendations for churches seeking to pursue racial reconciliation in their community and church life. This list is intended to serve as a "grab bag" of ideas.
